Last Tuesday, February 21, we were lucky to receive the visit of the 3rd grade students of the Fuenteblanca school in Murcia to Deilor. We received them delighted!
We made a small talk where we explained a lot of things about our vegetables and their properties. Then we went to lunch before entering to our stores.
After the rest time, they were given some robes and hats to continue with the visit, they were very excited! They began by seeing the broccoli warehouse, where we showed them how the boxes are assembled, how they get to the assembly line, who cuts the broccoli… They were fascinated!
We continued the visit with cauliflower, lettuce and bimi. The students commented on the different ways in which they liked the vegetables they were seeing and how they prepare them. They were even able to take some products to enjoy at home.
Then we showed them our cold rooms. There they were able to see how the necessary ice is made to preserve the products correctly. They were also amazed at how big they were and how many boxes fit inside.
The visit ended with a small route through our fields, where they saw how our products are planted, grown and collected. They certainly liked seeing how their favorite vegetables are grown.
We are delighted to receive centers and organizations and help promote healthy eating habits through our work as a company.
